How well does this product work with hair that has been dried?
Works quite well on my dried hair after a shower (I have thick hair, lots of volume). It is important to rub it thoroughly between your palms so that the pomade gets warm. Otherwise it will easily leave clumps in your hair, especially after you dried it.

Is this good for longish thin hair?

i have very thick hair, and it is a bit long, will the product be able to keep it up and keep the volume?
I think so. My friend has a cca. 10-12 cms long hair and Clay did work well.

Is the cream/clay supposed to be hard. Can hardly sccop it up?
Yes it's pretty hard, but dig your finger in, warm it between your palms and it's should be more pliable. Matt products are always pretty hard- that's what give them a natural look, oils in shinier products make them much softer.

Does it wash out with water?
The Clay Pomade isn't oily like normal normal Pomades or Brylcream. You will need to use shampoo and not water alone to wash it out even though the product doesn't leave a greasy residue after styling.

Is this a stronger hold from the likes of say V05 strong hold clay? As that doesnt seem to even work for me
It depends on country’s temprature and water quality, in UK it works perfect for thin hair. However, in middle east (GCC) it doesn’t hold hair in place.

Is this better than hanz de fuko claymation?and has it got a mild or strong smell to it
Not used hanz whatever it’s called but I found this clay to be very poor (in my opinion). I think it smells quite odd, I get warm cornflakes with a splash of diesel.
