Yes, I use this in place of a shampoo for 3 washes in every 4 (4th wash is with a clarifying shampoo due to hard water and product build-up). I massage the co-wash through my hair, and use a silicone scalp massager to really get it through the roots. I leave it on for a couple of minutes and then rinse out thoroughly. …

Yes, I use this in place of a shampoo for 3 washes in every 4 (4th wash is with a clarifying shampoo due to hard water and product build-up). I massage the co-wash through my hair, and use a silicone scalp massager to really get it through the roots. I leave it on for a couple of minutes and then rinse out thoroughly. It doesn’t foam like shampoo so I do think you need to be thorough when you massage it through the roots to be sure you’re really getting everything covered.
The oils really cleanse the hair well, without drying it out like a typical shampoo does.

Would you need a separate conditioner?
No. I found is a bit too heavy, couldn't use it more than once, because it causes build up. It is very good if you have very dry hair, but not for normal hair. I swapped to a different brand.

Where does this sit on the protein vs moisture spectrum please? I'm recovering from horribly overmoisturised hair :(
I think it's good for protein. If its got coconut in it that can act as a protein, so would probably be a good counterbalance.
I only got it to try sort out dandruff (it did not work in the long run).
Moogoo protein shot is supposed to be excellent 👍

Yes, but not of you have oily hair. The product is very thick and left my hair with a lot of build up.
